Caption: Holi-delays...
Many are familiar with the massive VIA delays that occurred over the weekend before Christmas. Over a dozen VIA trains incurred delays above 3 hours on the CN Kingston sub and 5 trains were left out in the cold overnight. VIA 55, VIA 69, VIA 669, VIA 48, and VIA 54. VIA 55 was the train hit by a tree and VIA 69 and VIA 669 crawled into Cobourg overnight behind it. The decision was made to combine 69 & 669 there, making for an extremely rare westbound "J-Train". After departing Oshawa, VIA 69/669 is on the home stretch to Toronto with 669 being 15 ½ hours late and VIA 69 nearly 17 hours late. I really feel for everyone involved with those trains, and figured the high vantage point would be nice to document the occurrence.

What are the freight cars at right doing there?
Theres some industries on a spur that’s hidden off in the distance. I believe once cars are placed there, they are waiting for CN 517 (Belleville-Toronto) to take them back to Toronto.
