4115 was on the CN rail train to Palmerston in 1996. Nice to see 21 years later it’s still earning it’s keep.
Actually 4115 is not a remote unit.Its just paired with 7264 which is a beltpack unit.
They do this quite often at BIT or Mac Yrd
We use 4100′s, 4700′s, 7000′s and 7200′s in remote consists all the time. We even have a pair of 5700′s and a 5200 working the yard right now.
Hunter, Understanding the variety – don’t see many 4100′s – tonnes of GP38-2′s though.
An sd40-2 working the yard would be rare in Sarnia – i’d love to see that. Hopefully on my next trip
The cycles in motive power have certainly been more interesting lately – other than the constant 7200/slug/7200 sets that are the ususal.
Lots of SD40′s at Mac Yrd in hump and pull down service
