Here we see a set of Norfolk Southern units (a C30-7, still in N&W paint, and an SD40-2), next to the former freight shed which housed staff for the Wabash/N&W/NS-CN "Joint Section" into the 1990s. Trains operating over the Cayuga and Chatham subs would drop their traffic at Talbotville, about 4 miles to the west, and then tie up here with their caboose.

  1. When was this freight shed demolished? Because the one used to replace it is now also abandoned.
