Caption: Here is another view from way back when the Nanticoke Steel train ran thru the bowels of Hamilton. This shot is taken a day later than a shot previously posted. Power is CN 9619, 9196 and 9172; and the train is just crossing Barton St and the ratty pavement is old Ferguson Av. Not all that scenic, but this IS downtown Hambone, so beauty was not to be expected. On the extreme left is the Hamilton detention centre, or, as we know it, the Barton Street Jail.

The Hammer! Nice.
Welcome Back Mr.M, also great shot!
Yeah Arnold! Welcome back and hope you had a great trip this year.
Snake has been conspicuously absent also, I wondered if you took him with you
Love this photo, thanks for sharing.
Did you steal Doc Brown’s Delorean and travel back to 1986 for that shot recently ? If so, that must have been on hell of a trip. Great shot !
CNCNDR: Like your comment. Mainly because 1986 was such a short time ago in my mind I have trouble considering it ‘way in the past’. But, like the DeLorean, it is already “ancient” history for anyone under 30.
Weird to think of main line F-units in my lifetime.
