Caption: Here is a view of the trackage at CN's Central Station (Gare Centrale) in Montreal in 1952, showing the entrance to The Mount Royal Tunnel. An electric train (lead by one of CN's three 200-series Z5a GE steeplecab electrics, later renumbered 6725-27) is seen exiting from the north, and CN SW9 7007 waits at the lower left. Several examples of switches (turnouts) are shown, including double slip switches, double crossovers, diamonds, etc. This whole area is now under Place Ville Marie, and the old tunnel entrance pictured here is now under the present day intersection of Avenue McGill College and Rue Cathcart.

And of course the cigarette advertising which is a complete sin nowadays in 2018. My grandfather was a Benson and Hedges man himself.
The switch tender at bottom watching the action and his shadow.. what an amazing photo
Okay, so this isn’t a model layout? Fooled me there.
