Well well.. so it did happen! Of course these led a ton during the 2003 detours… (and any others, and there were many, including the 2000 milton CNR bridge replacement)
Quite the timing of this photo as last night’s iteration of this train (CN 533) was just as much of an eye popper. It had CN 3098, BNSF 8440, NS 4036 for power. Since there’s no wye in Kitchener, the NS most likely led back to Toronto.
Steve,before GEXR this was a regular train.On a Sunday when a bunch of us were at Mile 30,we would go to Limehouse and wait for him.
Roger that, what time did it head west? But what I was speculating on was the big new GE prior to the GEXR takeover.
