Caption: Having just left Toronto Union Station minutes ago, VIA P42DC 903 leads train 43 through the Union Station Rail Corridor at Peter Street (from Spadina Ave), heading west to the Oakville Subdivision in the afternoon.
The large amount of tracks in the corridor are to handle the daily traffic of dozens and dozens of GO and VIA passenger trains each day, highest during morning and evening rush hours. Those with a keen eye would note all the slipswitches and ladder tracks in the background, controlled by the three interlocking towers in the corridor and present to get each train into its allotted platform to load or unload passengers.
