Caption: Grain Train!! Always nice to see, but alas, this was 25 years ago; and now they all seem to run Stateside or around the Lakehead. It has been a long while since I have seen one thru Niagara. Here is an all-SOO lashup; SOO 6411, 779 and 6013 passing the old Waterdown station, now offices of the SunOPTA Minerals Inc company which is on Parkside Drive in North Waterdown. This train probably ran thru to the Port of Albany, NY. Dispositions: SOO 6013 went to Indiana RR in 2006. SOO 6411 (became CP) went to DME in 2000. SOO 779 (became CP) retired.

This sure is a treat to see! Looks like jointed rail? Thanks for sharing.
No smoking…so I assume this was an alco-free line?
Oh Docta: What a groaner!!! (sob)
That consist sure is smokin’!
Classic Old SOO! Why did CP sell off a lot of those units?
