Good old VIA 685 was an enjoyable addition to the already wide variety one could expect to see on the Halton Sub on a Sunday morning as it utilized Amtrak equipment for many years. AMTK 30 was one of the last units to wear Amtrak's phase III paint scheme before eventually being repainted in 2005. It is seen here leading a mixed up set of coaches in a variety of schemes into Georgetown station.

  1. A great amtrak day shot. I managed to get one of these once or twice in the month or so between the time I purchased my first dslr and the end of the International in April. Followed this train to work daily.

I forget but it looks like 685 was a couple hours later than 85?

  2. According to the 2005 CTG, 11:32 was 85′s normal time and that sounds about right to me.
