Caption: Goderich-Exeter slug 4161 is pictured at Goderich in August 2002. It started out life as a GP7 built for Kansas City Southern as 161, who later converted it into an unpowered road slug (renumbered KCS 4161).
Dallas, Garland and Northeastern RR acquired the unit and paired it up with GP35 66 (later GEXR 3834) as its slug mother. Both were sent to the GEXR in 1996, and after operating for years (in their old DGNO colours) both units were eventually sidelined out of service, and later scrapped. 4161 was scrapped in 2008, and 3834 in 2013.
