I didn’t realise the roundhouse lasted in to the 90′s. I never went over there.
Wow… when was the roundhouse removed?
I’m trying to nail down a timeline of when it was torn down. Within a couple years of this photo at the very latest.
Apparently in the early years of GEXR operations they would use the pit in the stall tracks for inspections of their units. Lambton Diesel Specialists were the ones who performed the work then.
The shop building was still standing in spring 1996 confirmed by a friend, so that narrows it down a little.
