GEXR 431 rolls west past ol' XW23 in Guelph with 45 cars. Sandwiched between the GEXR units is leased CN GE C44-9W 2560. I wasn't the only fan out today, Alex Sanders caught this train at mile 49: http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=26313

  1. Very nice!

  2. Leased? Is the gexr short power?

  3. @cpcnguy: Yes, the GEXR is short power. As far as I know, 3394 is down with a blown power assembly.

2211 and 4095 have (to my knowledge) fried traction motors, and 2211 has been taken off 580; with 2008 taking it’s place. Maybe 2211 is being repaired, I have no idea.

Hopefully someone can fill us in on more details.

  4. 3394 has traction motor issues from what I heard and 3030 might be missing a power assembly since it was given to 3393

  5. Given to 3394 my mistake. I’m not 100% sure

  6. Great shot Jacob.

3394 is just out of service for its Tri-annual inspection, so however long that takes depending on what issues are found it should be back on 432/431 this week.

  7. Thanks for the comments guys!

RLK, are any other units down?
