Caption: Frogs and crickets sing into the still and cool summer evening air, signalling the coming of darkness; the horizon glows orange with a midsummer's sun playing hide and seek until morning. It's 9:41 PM and a lone sentinel glows red to indicate the pending passage of a train on the CPR. In moments the frogs and crickets go silent as a rumble of EMD motive power grows closer, and a K3 horn blows in the distance. Codeline glows orange from headlights and my anticipation grows. EMD locomotives throb ever louder as T69's hogger pours it on to get to track speed, 60 mph, and your heart begins to beat faster. This stretch of track between the curves at Killean and Puslinch may as well be a racetrack, the stories from decades past, of trains making up time are the things of legend. Modern electronics and GPS forbid overspeed trains today, but the show never disappoints. To come will be part two of this small story.

Love this, awesome shot.
Thank you. Sadly, the Searchlight is now gone and I believe the codeline (At least the wires) are being removed also.
