Caption: Freshly repainted Waterloo Central Railway (WCR) GMD-1 1012 is viewed operating an excursion train by the organization’s St. Jacobs, Ontario shop facility on the Waterloo Spur on March 12, 2022, during its first full weekend in regular service. WCR 1012, is former CN 1437, nee-CN 1012, which was cosmetically restored over the fall and winter by WCR volunteers, including a repainting back to it’s yellow and green colors and being renumbered back to its original CN number. The veteran GMD-1 was donated by CN to the group during April 2021 after being retired by CN on March 10 and stored at MacMillan yard in Toronto.
