Caption: Four of CN's GMD-built SW1200RS units are working hard as they race out of Mimico along the Oakville Sub, leaning into the curve at Swansea along the Gardiner Expressway.
Toronto-assigned CN 1204, 1212, 1253 and 1207 are on the head-end of this eastbound (probably KO27), with a block of reefers at the head end that may have been traffic from the nearby Ontario Food Terminal.
Visible in this scene are the Rodeway Inn Lakeshore (former Seaway Towers Motor Hotel, on the west side of Windermere. Built 1963, demolished 1993), the Seaway Hotel on the east side of Windermere and its Backstage Room (lounge) (the hotel later became the Four Points by Sheraton, and was demolished around 2014). The lone condo(!) at the time is the Palace Pier Tower (built by Bramalea Ltd. in 1978)
The siding in the foreground lead down to the Stelco Swansea Bolt Works plant on Windemere (it was once the old Toronto Suburban Railway's Humber Loop, running from Swansea up to TSR's West Toronto station).
