That’s a tight fit. Similar to the CN spur to the old TH&B in Brantford. I’m seeing a pattern here. Old railway tracks squeezing through old real estate…
I grew up with trains – particularly boxcars – right across the street at the paper mill. Imagine having a train pass a few feet from your property. Not safe for kids or pets.
The house directly at my back had a dining room window that faces these tracks.. and a three feet of grass between it and the rails.. Interesting photo ops to be had along this right of way.
The house on the other side of the tracks is for sale. Perfect house for you Steve.
I wonder though it would get old living next to the tracks. The fun, for me, is seeing something out of the ordinary.
I lived beside GEXR from 2003 to 2005.
It was fun but I realized the follies of doing so and said no need. To buy one does not buy beside railway tracks.
However to each their own.
