Caption: Former TH&B SW9 55 sits looking forlorn outside the Chatham Street roundhouse circa 1988. Built at GMDD London in December 1950, the unit was sold to Atlas steel of Welland in May 1988, to International Iron & Metal, also of Welland, the same year, and further to Merrilees Equipment of Lavalee, Quebec in December 1988. It would continue on to CP Forest Products in La Tuque, Quebec in September 1990, serving there until a sale to the Stone Container Corporation of Bathurst, New Brunswick as their number 01 circa November 1996. In April 2006 it would be sold to Glencore Canada Corp (formerly Xstrata/Falconbridge Mining) of Belledune, New Brunswick where it still resides per the 2021 Canadian Trackside Guide as their 506.
