Former CP units, NBEC 1840 and 4210 tie up at the end of the day in Miramichi (formerly Newcastle) on a nice September eve. "CP" blotted out, replaced with "NBEC". That was about as good as it got. The railroad was only in business 10 years, spun off by CN and re-acquired by CN (1998-2008) Included in the 2008 acquisition were the two locomotives pictured, but they were retired shortly thereafter.
The length of the NBEC was once the Intercolonial Railway of Canada, a very historical line.
