Caption: For years, the Napierville Junction's train originated in Rouses Point, NY and ran to Montreal with a couple of MLW built RS2 units. After they were retired, the D&H would assign whatever they had laying over in Rouses Point. After the D&H was integrated into Guilford in the early 1980s, this could include Maine Central and Boston & Maine units--such as B&M GP40-2s 304 and 308, as well as GP39-2 350 (originally built for the D&H). Guilford cast the D&H into bankruptcy in 1988 and by 1991 it was integrated into CP Rail System and run-through operations became the norm.
