It’s interesting that the upper louvers that replaced the grilles aren’t very well aligned horizontally
It is really incredible… very nice
Had to check a few of my other photos first before making a reply. The 9166 does not compare well, it has a screen/louver combo in this area and there are 12 louvers per group on those panels rather than the the 10 per group found here in the same area (they are all 10 louver panels on the 9158 actually). On the other side of the 9158 they are all pretty much in a straight row. Looking close at the negative, the panels the louvers are on, are all mounted straight horizontally. It is the actual group in the middle area (8 sets) that are shifted not quite a full louver height (about 2/3′s) upward. Whatever they came off of, must have required the louvers in just a little different spot than usual.
Thanks Mr. Klaucker. Funny story with this outing. At the 1st setup, I only had a few a slide exposures left, which were used up. After seeing these units it’s OMG, need more film. Zoom off to the near by Hwy gas station, buy whatever they have, Kodacolour II and take off again. Get to this spot, in goes the film and start snapping. I’m plenty happy with the print film result, had my doubts.
Glad you ran off Seth….imagine missing this, yeesh… nice save !
Ohhhh those F units….miss seeing them. I have heard of former employees dislike of them….but, they had a certain eye appeal for this lad!
They get double duty from myself.
Not only do I love the way they look, their diesel sound was best also, in my opinion. Cold winter nights as they throbbed and droned climbing the hill up from the river. Ear candy, lol.
