My gawd that bridge is massive !
It certainly is! I tried to find its length online but couldn’t find anything.
Hold on…. using google maps the bridge is a tad over 1.1 kilometres long, not including the portion over the Seaway.
And I suppose it is 4 tracks? It isn’t the length but the thickness of it that really amazes me. Twice as thick as anything that crossed Niagara. I should add that is a really neat shot, as well.
Thanks. Nope, was built as a single track bridge between 1883-1885 and widened to double track in 1913.
