Caption: End of the line for the Dunnville Subdivision, a few days earlier crews were out removing traditional lettered Crossbucks, Wig Wags, Crossing Lights and other hardware on either end of the tracks east and west of Port Colborne. Approx. 125 years of through freight traffic ended in 1977 and in the intervening years the line was rarely used except for the Port Colborne section. The crews filled Two (2) gons full of the stuff which are seen parked at the Downtown Spur opposite the 1926 built CNR station. The Downtown Spur was removed shortly after this photo was taken and the location was converted to a Parking Lot. The Spur was on the previous site of a large CNR Freight Shed, and in latter years was used to offload lumber and farm implement machinery. The PC CNR Road-Switcher also overnight parked there, or at the south end of the Furnace Yard on the East Side. In the photo the CNR station still has the CN EXPRESS FREIGHT and the TH&B FREIGHT OFFICE signs on end wall (right side). The station was boarded up 2 years earlier when the Elm Street Spur to ROBIN HOOD was removed since service from Feeder was extended down the old NS&T right of way to CASCO (now JUNGBUNZLAUER) and then connected to ROBIN HOOD. Removal of Bridge 20 began almost exactly 24 years ago.
