Caption: Emons Always had a decent paint job for both the SLA and York Rail, unfortunately G&W would eliminate that while taking over numerous shortlines during the 2000’s. Thankfully it took some time to repaint the fleet. We were lucky this trip catching a few units in the old paint along with most of the retired M420’s siting stored pending disposition States side. The 3200’s series GP40’s were especially of interest to me as they were former GO Transit units picked up from the Rock Island when it went bankrupt. The extra electrical plugs for the passenger equipment are still intact as well on the ends of the units. Thus day both 3203 and 3206 were busy working the east end of the yard in Richmond.
