Electro-Metallurgical Company of Canada #6 (a small 0-4-0T steamer built by MLW in March of 1937), its stack capped, was still on the property of their Welland plant in 1961. The plant name would be changed to Union Carbide Company of Canada soon.

#6 escaped the scrappers torch through private ownership, and was at one time earmarked for display at the Ontario Science Centre. Today it sits on display at Charles Matthews Ltd's moving company lot in Markham ON (private property).

  1. Any idea of her current condition? Is the locomotive protected?
