The line was repossessed by CN a year later and the Vernon to Kelowna section was abandoned. Omnitrax's Okanagan Valley railway (a CP Spin Off from Sicamous to Kelowna sharing the track south of Armstrong) exited operations a year earlier. Kelowna, largest city in BC's interior is now without ra1l service, but industrial Parks in the Vernon area keep the line busy for CN
