Early evening (8PM-ish) westbound freight with NW 4160 and 4161 about to depart the CN Fort Erie shop complex. That is CN 2015 and 2315 in behind. Unfortunately did not get the N&W van number.

  1. You say “westbound”. Was that going to St.Thomas or all the way to Windsor/Detroit?
    Any idea or memory?

  2. Forget. With the van on the rear I thought it might be going only to St. Thomas but I would rather wait for someone in the (definite) know to respond.

  3. These were *assigned* here for a time (former Illinois Terminal 38-2s).

  4. Boys when were the ex Wabash F7′s last seen on the Canadian division?

  5. May 24/79 the final revenue run with F7′s was train 28 arriving Fort Erie in the late evening with 3725- GP9 635 – Canadian GP7 3453.
By late October/79, 3453, 3725 were at Windsor, and left on the ferry Nov 18/79. 3725 to the Monticello IL museum, repainted back to Wabash 1189A.

  6. Thank you.
