During those lean struggling early Amtrak years it was not often I saw the "Rainbow" with just the one loco around this time.  I guess they had some faith in it. :o)
AMTK 410 is shown here stopped for passengers at the old flat topped MCRR/TH&B station. (in behind)  This structure was torn down around 1990.
