During the winter of 2021/22 the Yorkton subdivision running from Melville SK to Canora SK had constant problems with snow. With the entire area suffering from heavy snowfall, the Yorkton sub is notorious for drifts because of the north-south operation in open prairie flatland. BCOL 4646 heads south toward Melville only hours after 583 went north with GECX 2029 in the lead. In the short time the drifts completely refilled making an enjoyable trip,
