During the winter of 2008 a westbound is rounding a curve in the St-Henri neighbourhood of Montreal with a lashup impossible to replicate today out on the road (as the 6000's are now in hump service): SD40U CN 6028, Dash8-40CM CN 2447 & GP9 CN 7075. The train may be CN 323, returning from St. Albans, VT.

  1. The remaining road service SD40us are all on the DMIR pulling taconite along with IC SD40-3s, CN SD40-2Ws and Tunnel Motors of the BLE and DMIR

  2. This one happens to be a non hump unit, probably on the DMIR, but I cannot find any newish pictures of it unfortunately

  3. I had forgotten that some are on the DMIR….

  4. 6022, 6023, 6025, 6027 and 6028 are all based out of Vancouver. 2 of these are usually in Kamloops for the yard/local power and the other 3 are used on various transfers from Thornton Yard to North Vancouver/New Westminster etc.
