Caption: During her last year in service, TTC PCC 4764 (an A14-class car built in 1946 by St. Louis Car for Kansas City, Missouri) pauses along the St. Clair route at the platform stop at Prescott Avenue, just west of the 1931-built CN Newmarket Sub bridge.

Pre-1931, the CN Newmarket Sub crossed St. Clair Avenue here at-grade, and streetcars terminated at loops on either side of the crossing, necessitating riders to de-board, cross the tracks, and board another streetcar to continue further (the Dovercourt streetcar terminated here at the west side at Prescott Loop, and the St. Clair car terminated on the east side at Caledonia Loop). The construction of this bridge/underpass/grade separation in 1931 (and re-alignment of the Newmarket Sub, and new CN St. Clair Avenue station) allowed the St. Clair streetcar tracks to join and eliminated all the inconvenient loops and transfers for passengers.

The TTC's A14 ex-Kansas City cars were some of the first secondhand PCC's to leave the roster due to lackluster maintenance from their original owner. Car 4764 was one of 11 sold to MUNI in San Francisco to operate until their new cars were delivered. Renumbered 1184, she never ran in service and was reportedly used as a parts car.
