Dontcha Hate It When This Happens? Dept......I was feeling 'lucky' this nice early spring day. I set down the usual camera and switched to the good one.
Not bad, CN 5349, 5352 and one of those BBD units, 2118; which had a short life on CN; but I was very annoyed when I saw the front door was open. Well, these things happen.
Otherwise, a 'difference' scene. I am standing where since the new Aldershot leads have been constructed, the Cold Storage building is but a memory, as is the signal tower in front of the Waterdown Rd bridge. So, a lot of history here already
Beautiful day. Image was shot with Vericolor III 160 ISO sheet film in the old 4x5 Speed Graphic. Not cheap.

  1. A very nice image taken with a classic camera, which I’ve read typically weighs around 5 lb (more or less, depending on lens, etc).
Can anyone tell me when Aldershot Yard originated, and any expansions prior to 2000 ?
With important junctions on either side, it’s a useful place for a yard.

  2. Nice view from the other side.
