Departing the old CN Hamilton (James Street) Station, Amtrak F40PH units 332 and 372 lead train #96 (the Maple Leaf) eastbound on CN's Grimsby Sub at Mile 43.6, ducking under Mary Street and passing the lead to the CN N&NW Spur (in the foreground). VIA and Amtrak trains would cease using the old Hamilton station almost year later in May 1992, and GO would last a little longer. Today it is of course restored as the LIUNA Station (banquet hall and event venue).
