CP's CWR train spent a couple of days around Hamilton, but I didn't pay it too much mind other than to grab this and one other shot. When I went by earlier the evening to scout the shot, the train was obstructed by some loaded coils that 246 had dropped that day. Figuring that TH21 would be taking them to Aberdeen later on, I came back around midnight, and had found that TH21 had indeed opened up the angle for me as suspected (and certainly appreciated). An honourary mention goes to them for their part in this.

  3. This is awesome Jamie. Great ingenuity on your part to capture this standard summer scene in a very unique way. :-)

  4. Thanks Michael. It’s pretty much the only night photography I’ve done in the past two months. :)

Steve – Yeah, would be around then. Night crew is on duty 2300 so I went down about a half hour or so after that hoping the coils would be cleared out from the track in the foreground, and heard them calling RTC to head to Aberdeen while on the way.

  5. Larry check the date :)

  6. Thanks Larry. :)

And yeah, it was April 3 – not quite summer but winter mostly behind us by then at least.

  7. April is to early for summer maybe? Seems like there are a lot of these photos posted from April to October.

  8. Your welcome JK. And thanks for your understanding. :-)
