Caption: CPKC 734 departs Wolverton after lifting a good amount of traffic. I had expected to be left in the dust by this eastbound, as is common with trains on the Galt once they get going, however with 8700 tons/6,600 feet on the drawbar, and a traction motor cut out, the engineer was struggling to get up to track speed. Passing Galt 12 miles away, the crew confirmed with the RTC they had finally reached 22mph.
