  1. Classic locomotive in a classic paint scheme…great stuff

  2. Neat power, the 1400′s and 1900′s (primary Canadian power) were all repainted very early on, but the dual-service 4000′s like the FPA2′s and FP7′s lingered around longer in the old colours, despite always showing up on the Toronto-Sudbury runs.

The horn guys will point out 4094 has an early Nathan K3 horn, that used K-bells mounted on the triangular J-manifold. A number of CP FA’s got those at different points in time. The taller center horn “bell” is an easy tell.

  3. The older CPR paint scheme was a “class act”. It would be nice to see a series of new locomotive returned to the historic scheme out of company pride and respect. Better still, fire up 2816.

  4. CP has, or will soon have, 10 “new” locomotives in the grey and maroon scheme: 7010-7014 in script and 7015-7019 in block lettering.

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments.
