Caption: CP T14 has three covered hoppers in tow as the train heads back to the mainline to swap the cars for three other covered hoppers. The short tree lined spur connects the mainline to the old ADM elevator, and for a brief period while the Credit Valley Railroad (now Canadian Pacific) was being planned, the original intention was to have the CVR mainline run along side the Credit River near the spurs location and run down to a connection with the Great Western Railroad at Port Credit. This idea was quickly disposed of and the mainline soon continued on to York (now Toronto). It's hard to believe that after so many decades of continual service, that today, half a year after this photo was taken, that now the facility has been sold and the new owner Cargil currently receives no rail service.
