Caption: CP T10-27 is seen here making a late evening appearance in the Oshawa siding with a very intriguing lashup of CP 2263 & freshly painted QGRY 3548; a GP38-2 of MoPac heritage. Behind the power is 31 empty autoracks destined for the Oshawa GM plant at some point. 3548 marks the second G&W unit to have been brought to Oshawa (the first being RLK 4095, a GP40 of CN heritage) as the inaugural operating date for the company in Oshawa fast approaches.

Funnily enough, CP actually ended up needing the extra motive power as the solo GP20ECO was unsuccessful after multiple failed attempts to shove their train up the hill and into Oshawa Yard. They asked Toronto Yard if they could cut in the QGRY unit to make it up into the yard and were given the green light. I recall hearing the crew mention that the GP38 alone likely could've done the shove all by itself unlike their GP20, haha! Overall it was quite a fun & surprising catch to end off a nice chilly day of railfanning, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for Oshawa!
