Caption: CP Rail RDC-2 9115 and another car are stopped by the station at Fort Erie, handling today's Toronto-Buffalo (ex-CP/TH&B/PC) RDC run now under operation by VIA Rail (some of the ex-CP Budds weren't yet repainted, and operated in full CP paint in early VIA years. They were also maintained by CP shop forces out of John Street roundhouse in Toronto). The train was in its final months of operation, and would be discontinued in April 1981 in favour of the new Amtrak Maple Leaf.
On the next track over, Conrail SW1500 9570 and an unknown GP35 operate on a US-Canada transfer run, likely about to return across the International Bridge into the US.
