Caption: CP pup 1269 is seen approaching the Clarke Road crossing after departing GMD London with new ATSF power in the form of 3800hp GP60s number 4016, 4017, part of a twenty unit order (4000 - 4019). The 4016 would become BNSF 8716 in January 1998, renumbered to BNSF 175 around 2014, and was still active within the last year. ATSF 4017, renumbered BNSF 8717 in October 1998, to BNSF 176 about 2014, and was still active within the last year.
What happened to the 1269? Originally the 8169, rebuilt to a slug in 1995 and renumbered to CP 1022 in 1996, retired 2012.
