CP may not run a lot of trains, but lately when they do they are pretty decent. Here 134 with power off 234 rolls eastbound at Hornby with an impressive consist giving us a preview of autumn colours to come.

  1. Wow

  2. Nice capture ! It looks like the last 3 units were wyed somewhere along the way as the UP unit lead 234 yesterday out of Windsor.

  3. Thought it was odd too they wyed the power.

  4. What a “mixed bag”of motive power owners and paint schemes; BNSF-CP-BNSF-CP-CP-CN-UP if I am correct – 4 different major railway companies ! Times have certainly changed from those long ago days when we only saw “foreign power” rented or borrowed by CN or CP when they were “power hungry”. Very nice picture, John

  5. Agreed, I miss the rent-A-wrecks and older borrowed power. Unfortunately PSR has killed a lot of that as certain units can no longer lead on certain lines if they don’t have the right equipment needed to lead.
