CP 'local' T-29 made a very early morning westbound run to Windsor on December 11th. Here CP 3113 leads T-29 back eastbound toward London with a cut of about 10 tanks likely destined for the ethanol plant in Chatham. T-29 is holding in the siding at the east switch Belle River, waiting on a huge CP 141 train to pass. 3113 will have 35 years of service in her come April 2021 and it's nice to see these old Soldiers still making miles and money for the railroad.

  1. Nice composition, beautiful framing, attractive lighting, well done Geoff ! For me, there is something attractive and intriguing about the long, straight track on level ground and the terrain ( my Dad used to call on customers in Windsor and called this area “the Windsor/Chatham flats”). The old power line towers on the left, if only they could talk. Imagine 35 years before the 3113 arrived how many times they witnessed Jubilees and Hudsons racing along at 90 + mph ! And that was on jointed rail ! Thanks for posting, John
