Beauty shot, lets see now. The pedestrian bridge is gone, the diamond is gone, Lambton was converted into 8 super tracks that span from end to end. The industry on the North side was a cement plant, now an LA Fitness. No MoW shacks, and of course traffic has really dwindled, no more yard power based out of here, T15 runs here daily to drop cars for CN to grab thrice or 4 times a week and for trains such as 246/235 and sometimes 147 to take west, a far cry from even 5 years ago. What I would have given to have more memories of Lambton and the surrounding area units hey day. Thanks for sharing this Arnold, would love to see more of your stuff from this area as it has been an area that I have covered pretty well too.
Thanks, Slickster!! An LA Fitness? Really?? Well, I guess that would make sense if the place has thick cement floors.:o) I’m thinking the “JCT” would still be a good place to hang out, where else are you going to get much activity on CP………appreciate you taking time to write.
This location sucks now…
So does Toronto in general…
It’s an awful town.
surprisingly there is still traffic around here, most however is mactier traffic
I cannot help but agree with Mr. Medora.
Was a great location. Spent days on the old bridge in the late seventies.
Toronto is a good city but railroading is tough to watch now!
Industry… remember that?
