CP 4065 east at Arawana on the Carmi sub. about 5 miles east of Penticton. Train was crawling up the 2.2% grade at about 8 miles per hour. My dad remarked he could hear the engines working for an hour before it got here. It sounded like a tug boat on the lake at first. Note irrigation ditch to right of track.
