Caption: CP 3004 was in Hamilton for about a month, and didn't lead the entire time. In fact, they went out of there way to make sure it never did. When a new unit arrived to replace 3053, it was facing the same way as 2264. So instead of having 3004 lead, they took it and 2264 around the wye so that 2264 and the new arrival could lead on either end.

Looks really weird seeing only 2 CP yard goats in Hamilton, I’ve never seen it not as a triple set.
I also like that Hamilton GO sign on the right, good eye!
Thanks Mark. Yeah the double CP is not often seen in Hamilton. I saw them perform a similar move around the wye last summer with two units to get one out of lead position. If I wasn’t feeling so lazy I’d look up the unit in question from that time.
They ran a yard extra as well a couple months or so ago while TH11 was running. So one job had two units and another job had one. Would’ve been a neat catch but work got in the way of that one haha.
