CP 244 hustles eastbound at Campbellville with a pretty short train. Despite hazy sun conditions and less than adequate lighting on the train, I had to catch this because of the power. All elephant-style, CP 3033-NS 1071-NS 9917, lead 244. Not many options for eastbounds at this time of day (around 18:20). This is my first NS heritage unit catch, and it happens to be one of my favourites (next to NS 8105 and the Illinois Terminal one). Too bad it was grimy and not leading. However, at least they chose a half-decent CP leader :)

  1. And a geep on point! Nice catch Kevin.

  2. Thanks! It could have easily been a regular GE on point so the geep was a bonus.

  3. Love the angle Kevin! I hope to get out to Maskoka this summer to catch CN 451 on the Newmarket Sub! Bet there are many great angles there I can shoot at with the Maskoka lakes in the background! You ever photographed trains up there?
