CP 143 passes through the former yard in Fort Erie as they head for the International Bridge to Buffalo. An issue with 8013 and permission from CSX allowed these CMQ "barns" to stay on 143 to the US instead of being taken off at Welland because of PTC requirements on CSX. I still don't know how Alex Sanders and I were able to catch up to this train. We were still on the 401 at Cambridge when we found out about them and that they were departing Kinnear. Thanks to everyone who helped us out with location info on this train.

  1. One of the slowest 143s in a while, with delays in Kinnear due to a traffic accident ahead and delays in Welland due to setting off the TRE unit and the whole PTC incident. I forget who I’ve told this to already so apologies if I’m repeating myself to you, Mike, but Monday’s 143 was a little under two hours from Guelph Junction to Brookfield East, while this one was nearly 4.5 hours to do the same distance. So that certainly helped you catch up, I’d say. :)

  2. Yeah it seemed like everything that could go right did go right on Saturday
