Caption: Commuting isn't always pretty, but despite rain, sleet, snow, the resilient commuter will battle traffic and Mother Nature to get to and from the station to catch their train to work (which may or may not be running on time). A comparison can be made to the caveman-esque hunter/gatherer, that must routinely forage the forest for sustenance and battle savage beasts enroute, or starve.
The usual Vaughan commuting suspects are exiting GO Transit train #809, the last of the Barrie line trains, on this bleak rainy evening. Warm buses, cold cars, a jammed up parking lot and evening rush hour traffic await them before sitting down for a warm meal at home. The photographer is posed in the rain at the end of the platform, capturing the routine scene before making his way to a warm YRT D40LF idling nearby. Rebuilt UTDC cab car 231 is on the point of this L10 consist (and MP40 651 on the rear), awaiting the CSA in the "5A" accessible car to close the doors (extinguishing the glare from the red "door open" indicator lights) before departing with a "14L" for the crossing to the north.

In the rain? Did you get soaked? Sometimes shots like this are the best. You brave the conditions.
Nah, a bit of rain never hurt anyone…
You’re definitely not sugar that’s for sure.
Beautiful! I enjoy rain shots. Though Blizzard / Snow shots are my all time favorite. It’s a shame here in Niagara Falls winter doesn’t come till’ January.
