Caption: Coming home is always nice to do, especially when you have some down time to go and see if there is any action on the SOR. Here, these three units are doing some yard work on a Saturday morning. It's nice to see the orange and black again, especially with the sun cooperating!
(Of interest Sept. 3rd - I don't know how much the SOR is affected right now. When these photos were taken, Imperial Oil was in a shut down for upgrades. But now the Native Standoff is also a key factor, as someone put some debris on the tracks and set fire to it outside of Caledonia. Any information as to damage, etc. would be appreciated )

597 ran last night, so things seem back to normal.
They set pallets on fire on the 6th line crossing on Saturday night. They were extinguished by Six Nations Fire about an hour after the initial fire was started. SOR was notified by the OPP and they did not run that night as the crossing had to be inspected.
As for the imperial oil shut down, I haven’t been out to see what they are up to but will check out SOR sometime this week.

@Extra 1014…Thank you. It was cloudy, and just as the crew started their day the sun poked out. Was quite happy to get the photos I wanted, although it was only yard work!

Well yesterday I was at Garnet and the Nanticoke Job was up there working the yard and building their own train to take down to Imperial. The regular 595 switcher was not working.
597 was running early last night, through Caledonia at 8pm. This has been characteristic of the last few days, perhaps a new running pattern.
The Native Standoff has been all over the news the last few days. Long story short, the OPP have all roads through Caledonia open and the tracks are clear too. There hasn’t been any further issues with the SOR and them since Saturday and the pallet fire.
