Caption: COMFORTABLE COACH. The interior of Terra Transport Coach 764 is captured on April 16, 1988 as Mixed Extra 935 West casually cruises through the former Flag Stop of Lake Bond in the 1947 Newfoundland Railway Timetable. Having been taken out of service for the prior 3 months following a CTC ruling that saw the mixed cancelled for the winter months, it and the baggage car were restored to pristine condition by the TT Shops in St. John's. Built in 1949 by the Canadian Car and Foundry as coach No. 47 for the Newfoundland Railway and later renumbered 764 under the CNR, the large and extremely comfortable blue and red reclining seats made for a most pleasant travelling experience over the 138 mile journey from Bishop's Falls to Corner Brook that day. On board were only the photographer and his friend Paul, taking a well deserved break between the winter and spring semesters at Memorial University. They would later be joined by a cabin owner at Millertown Junction until he detrained at Gaff Topsail in several feet of snow.
