Come on, there's nothing wrong with the former Raillink scheme.. give 1400 a lil' love. Soon it might get paint! Then we'll have three, but back in October, I was hoping for a matched pair but 6508 was taken out due to finding too much tin in the oil tests. After further work and re-testing, it was a false positive.... but can you really be dissapointed with a pair of F units hauling freight? Nope.

    Really? How did you know they did quantitative chemical analysis on the locomotives? I had no idea they tested the oil. Who did that work (i.e. submitted the samples for analysis)?

    Kevin I had a chat with staff in Salford.

    Osr regularly tests oil, it is a good indicator of problems and they have to hand deliver product to testing labs.
